Description: For graduate and professional students in good standing in a UNM graduate or professional degree program; preference is given to students near the completion of their studies with significant financial need
Description: To facilitate research directly related to the master's thesis or doctoral dissertation. Funds may be used for travel expenses, lodging, and qualifying research materials directly relevant to advancing the research project.
Description: For students who: (1) have experienced a cumulative gap in their education of more than 5 years; (2) are at the undergraduate level and pursuing their first baccalaureate degree; (3) anticipate workforce participation for a significant period of time subsequent to graduation; (4) demonstrate financial need; and (5) show academic promise and a commitment to obtaining their degree
Eligibility: NM Resident, Undergraduate or Graduate Level student
Type of Award: For every year of service provided in a designated shortage area within New Mexico, a portion of the loan will be forgiven. If the entire service agreement is fulfilled, 100% of the loan is eligible for forgiveness.
