Scholarships and Awards

GPSA Student Research Grant (SRG)

  • Eligibility: Graduate-level student
  • Type of award: Travel, research materials
  • Maximum award: $500
  • Description: Travel and lodging to conduct research in the field, the cost of research materials, and/or travel/lodging and conference fees for conferences at which the applicant is making a presentation

GPSA Professional Development Grant (PDG)

  • Eligibility: Graduate-level student
  • Type of award: Travel
  • Maximum award: $500
  • Description: Travel/lodging and fees for job interviews, auditions, clinicals, mock trials, unpaid internships, conferences at which the applicant is not making a presentation, and other professional development travel or related expenses; may not fund expenses eligible for the SRG

GPSA New Mexico Research Grant (NMRG)

  • Eligibility: Graduate-level student
  • Type of award: Travel
  • Maximum award: $5,000
  • Description: Travel, lodging, supplies, and other costs related to field research; for larger or longer-term projects than the SRG

GPSA Graduate Scholarship Fund (GSF)

  • Eligibility: Graduate-level student
  • Type of award: Scholarship
  • Description: For graduate and professional students in good standing in a UNM graduate or professional degree program; preference is given to students near the completion of their studies with significant financial need

Career Services Student Conference Award Program (S-CAP)

  • Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate-level student
  • Type of award: Travel
  • Maximum award: $600
  • Description: Funding to attend an academic or professional conference in their field of study

Rogers Research/Project Award

  • Eligibility: Graduate-level student
  • Type of award: Travel
  • Description: To defray the costs of materials or equipment necessary to your research, and/or for travel required to collect data or to present the results of research at professional meetings

UNM Arts & Sciences Scholarships

  • Eligibility: Undergraduate-level student

UNM Osher Re-entry Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Undergraduate-level student
  • Type of award: Scholarship
  • Description: For students who: (1) have experienced a cumulative gap in their education of more than 5 years; (2) are at the undergraduate level and pursuing their first baccalaureate degree; (3) anticipate workforce participation for a significant period of time subsequent to graduation; (4) demonstrate financial need; and (5) show academic promise and a commitment to obtaining their degree
