Renee Garcia is a Clinical Instructor/Lecturer in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. A native New Mexican, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of New Mexico, and a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from Eastern New Mexico University. She has worked for over a decade in multiple clinical settings with a focus in pediatrics. During this time, her areas of experience and interests have grown to include bilingual and multicultural populations, Autism Spectrum Disorder and medically fragile populations. Across settings, Ms. Garcia has had the opportunity to work as a part of multi-disciplinary teams that include occupational and physical therapists, social workers and teachers.
