Cynthia Simonetti joined the Clinical Faculty at the Speech & Hearing Sciences department in August of 2012.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Northwestern University.  Ms. Simonetti had over 24 years of experience as a medical Speech Language Pathologist practicing in hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation settings and outpatient rehabilitation clinics prior to her appointment as a Clinical Instructor.  The majority of her experience is in working with adults with neurogenic cognitive, communication and swallowing disorders.  More recent interests include accent modification training and voice feminization training.  Ms. Simonetti has presented lectures in the community on swallowing disorders, voice feminization, and compensatory memory strategies.
