Memory Strategies Group
What is the Memory Strategies Group?
It is a program designed to increase participants’ awareness and knowledge of compensatory memory strategies and improve control over memory concerns.
When does it meet?
The group meets once weekly on Wednesdays for a 90-minute session.
What is the cost?
The cost is $30.00 per session. We are currently credentialed and are in the process of offering insurance coverage in the near future.
Who is eligible?
- Adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment (clients outside this diagnosis will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Adults with the ability to interact for 90-minute period, cognitively process new information, and productively engage in verbal discussions and activities
- Adults with adequate vision and hearing secondary to the nature of the group and reliance on written material
What is the focus of training?
The focus is to improve individual’s ability to utilize compensatory and memory strategies on a daily basis to maintain independent functioning.
Who are the instructors?
Under the supervision of experienced speech-language pathologists, master’s speech-language pathology students work with individuals in group, individual or combined sessions.

Cindy has extensive experience working with individuals with memory deficits within clinical and medical settings.
