What is the Aphasia Group?
This group brings together individuals whose communication skills have been affected by stroke and/or neurological injuries. Each session incorporates both structured and unstructured activities. Use of multiple communication modalities is encouraged.
Members' goals and interests are incorporated into individual treatment plans. Group members receive personalized clinician support and also benefit from the social connections they develop. Group activities are designed in close collaboration between clinical and research faculty.
This teamwork facilitates innovative group treatment based on current evidence, focused on life and community participation. Members have opportunities to participate in cutting edge research studies.

What is the cost?
The cost is $30.00 per session.
What is the focus of training?
Focus includes speaking, auditory comprehension, conversational skills, word retrieval, memory, reading, writing, and compensatory strategies.
Who are the instructors?
Under the supervision of experienced speech-language pathologists, master’s speech-language pathology students work with individuals in group, individual, or combined sessions.
