Clinic adult 2The UNM Speech-Language-Hearing Center (UNMSLHC)  regularly sees speech and language disorders and differences including accent modification, aphasia, apraxia of speech, articulation, auditory processing disorders, aural rehabilitation, autism spectrum disorders, brain injury rehabilitation, dysarthria due to a variety of neurological disorders, language delay, stuttering, transgendered speech, and voice disorders. The UNMSLHC offers Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations and treatment. Part of the Center’s mission includes offering clinical training education and experience with bilingual and multicultural clients. These clinical services are available to the public. Clients at the Center include all age groups, from infants through older adults.

All services are provided according to the highest current professional standards. Very modest fees are charged to cover clinic expenses, with especially low rates for UNM students.  The Center provides services for adults with Developmental Disabilities through the Medicaid DD Waiver program.  Several methods of payment are available for clients' convenience.  Please review our current fee schedule for more information.
